Orthopaedic Specialists of CT has implemented a brand new state-of-the-art Digital X-Ray Suite. This allows our doctors to customize your radiographic images and leads to more accurate diagnosis. This system offers fast access to your medical images and allows the physicians to view the radiographs in the patients’ rooms using a tablet. X-Rays are performed by licensed X-Ray technicians.

If you have had X-Rays or other imaging studies obtained elsewhere, please bring the films or discs with you to your appointment.

With Digital Radiography OSC has had to implement a new policy for obtaining your radiographs.

  • By Connecticut State Law, the physicians are required to keep all original films on-site for 3 years. In order to comply with this rule, we will ask for a $20.00 refundable cash retainer that will be returned to you when the films are returned. We strongly suggest that these original films be returned within 30 days of borrowing them.
  • If your films were taken on July 29, 2009 or after, we will be able to make copies for you that do not need to be returned to our office. The fees are non-refundable and the fees will be:
    • $ 7.00 per sheet of film
    • $ 7.00 per CD

We will have your request ready for pickup at the front reception desk; at this time OSC does not mail radiographs.
